A weekend of tree management and scrub clearance at Whitminster with WRG Forestry.
For our first dig of 2020, we returned to Inglesham on the Cotswolds Canals to continue the good work put in by Jon Pontefract and his CCT team to clear the half-mile or so of the pound above Inglesham Lock to the current boundary of the Trust land.

Final Chamber Clearance and Landscaping at Inglesham Lock
The 3rd Long Late May Bank-holiday Weekend dig at Inglesham, the aim of the weekend was to complete all the structural work on the lock, remove the scaffolding back to storage in Brimscombe port, and set up the barrow hoist for the final clearance of the lock chamber.
In order to meet the scheduled project plan for the late May bank holiday weekend, an extra day’s work for a small crew was needed to complete the chamber brickwork.
Casting the upper stop plank cill and installing the liners, and setting the upper gate hinge liners.
